TROHET UPGRADE KIT
This kit is only suitable if you already have built the Trohet speakers and want to upgrade to the Trohet R. Should you want the complete kit please see here.
 
Components 
  • 2 x Scan Speak R2904 - matching pairs
  • All components to build 2 x crossovers - 16 high quality film capacitors, 14 wire wound air core  inductors and 12 x 10 watt resistors
  • 4 x MDF Circuit boards and printed circuit diagrams
  • 16 x Oxygen free speaker cables
  • 8 x gold plated speaker terminals 
  • 22 x Hex head screws
 
Instructions
The provided video series walks you each step of building the trohet R speakers. Please note that the video series does not include the building of crossovers; for this step you can follow the schematics and block plans. 
 
Pre-assembled services
If you do not feel confident building the crossovers, then we can build them for you. Please select "Build the crossovers for me".
 
Router cutter and jig
Your existing Trohet speakers will need to have the tweeter depth increased from 5mm to 7.5mm. The Use of a trim or plunge router fitted with a ball bearing trim cutter and a jig with a 104mm diamater. 
 
The jig is to be clamped to the Trohet face, then use the router to remove the excess material. The use of verniers is advised to get the depth of 7.5mm. 
 
Should you want to order the jig and router cutter please select this option. 
 
Should you not feel confident in routering out your tweeter recesses then I'm more than happy to do this for you for $60. Your speaker cabinets will need to be either posted or dropped off to me in Bondi, Sydney Australia.
