EMBARK ON A SONIC JOURNEY.
Danish design is renowned for its minimalist style and unwavering commitment to functionality. This design philosophy serves as the foundation of the Copenhagen speaker.
The Copenhagen speaker kit revolutionizes the concept of striking the perfect balance between affordability and high-fidelity performance. Comparable commercial speakers of this caliber typically demand a price tag at least three times higher.
What truly sets the Copenhagen speakers apart is the comprehensive DIY kit included. No more searching for individual parts - everything you need, from pre-machined cabinet materials to meticulously chosen components, is neatly packaged in one box. It redefines convenience.
But the real standout feature lies in our industry-leading instructions. With our dynamic video tutorials and comprehensive written manuals, we empower individuals of all experience levels to confidently construct their own speakers.
These speakers can be assembled on your dining table, in your workshop, or in your craft space. The course can be completed in 5-10 hours, depending on your pace and efficiency.
Once your speakers are built, all you need is an amplifier, and you'll be ready to experience music as it was meant to be heard.
"I’m here in Brunswick, Melbourne listening to my favourite music on incredible sounding speakers that I built with my own hands!
I’ve always wanted to build my own speakers and being a novice I wanted to start with a kit. But the kits I found online assumed that I had the basic understanding to complete them.
When I found The Speaker Project home build kit I reached out to Atlas and I knew that this was something different.
The Speaker Project is about sharing a passion for building great sounding speakers while providing the fundamental understanding of speaker design and acoustics. I used the incredibly detailed step by step online video tutorials to build my speakers - pause, rewind, understand, construct - easy.
The kit provided me with EVERYTHING I needed. I found some space to construct (our kitchen table) and loved that I could work at my own pace - and Atlas was only a phone call away if I needed some guidance.
I’m proud that I built these myself and they sound and look fantastic."

DESIGNED FOR ACCURATE MUSIC REPRODUCTION.
Every component, material and dimension have been refined to put a great sounding speaker in to a simple package - at an otherwise unattainable value.
The cabinet material is pre-cut Monterey pine plywood sourced from sustainable plantations. Timber can be upgraded to European Birch plywood on request.
HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVERS.
The tweeter and woofer are sourced from SB Acoustics, combining expert Danish design capability and decades of proven manufacturing excellence. These two pair for an incredible value combination.
PREMIUM CABINET MATERIAL.
The cabinet material is CNC machined timber to ensure an accurate cabinet construction. The timber based materials are sourced from sustainable plantations and are of furniture grade quality. We offer the choice of either Birch or Monterey Pine plywood.

CARING FOR OUR PLANET.
One of the beautiful things about putting these kits together is that we have control of where the material is sourced from.
With increasing rates of deforestation and illegal logging, we've made the pledge to only select FSC accredit timber form sustainably accredited plantations.
DESIGNED FOR TRUTHFUL MUSIC REPRODUCTION.
Speaker designer, Atlas Gouverneur, designed these speakers with the intent of achieving high performance at an affordable price point. His design philosophy is to create a speaker that is truthful to the original recording.
Portable speakers are great at being portable and are typically cheap, but you pay the price in inaccurate music preproduction. High end speakers from big name audio brands like JBL and the alike are typically well designed, but they're expensive to buy. So the Copenhagen speaker kit offers an affordable avenue to get a great sounding pair of speakers.
Cabinet design and refinement is the hidden hurdle to great speaker design; it is the main influence for accurate, uniform bass response. We've made sure the speaker will dig deep when it needs to!
We employ precise measurement techniques to ensure our kits has an accurate sound signature. Find out more about the speaker acoustic performance in the course.
The kit makes a pair of speakers suitable for small to medium sized rooms. To get the most of these speakers we recommend an amplifier that can provide 50 to 250 watts of clean power. If you're unsure with amp choice please get in touch.
