HIGH FIDELITY.
Handmade and Australian designed.
Atlas Gouverneur has been designing and building speakers for over a decade. His philosophy is to create speakers that sound natural yet be highly revealing.
TROHET is a Swedish word that translates to fidelity and truth. A speaker is only truthful when it can produce a flat frequency response. Many high-end audio brands claim that their speakers are the most accurate in the world, yet they seldom release measurements to back this up.
I don't want to be another high-end audio brand. I want my customers to see the measurements and know that what they're buying is truthful. Measurements can be seen here.
The TROHET's are neutral in sonic signature and provide immense clarity. The speaker can pick up on the minor nuances of music. Vocals are natural, reverb is extended and carries through even with instruments playing in front. The centre sound stage is present but not overbearing, and stereo width/sound stage is realistic. In short, the TROHET's are designed to make music sound like it should, natural and uncoloured.

DIRECT TO CONSUMER.
Exceptional value is provided through our direct to consumer business model. Our prices don't include distributor and retailer fees, so that way, our cost is far cheaper than the equivalent speaker found at your local audio store.
Audio stores typically charge around 60% margin on speakers, which means you're paying 2 - 4 the price as a direct-to-consumer model.
The TROHET consists of drivers (transducers) found in speakers costing more than $6,500 AUD, so It's clear that these speakers are of exceptional value.
RETURNS.
Not to sound overly confident, but we're sure you’ll love the TROHET speakers, but if we're wrong, we offer a full two-week in-home trial, regardless of whether they've been used or not. That means if you don't like the sound of the TROHET's you can send them back for a refund within two weeks of speaker delivery.
If some reason, you're not happy with the speakers, ship them back to us. On receival, we will inspect the speakers, and if they're not damaged, you’ll receive a refund for the purchase price, minus shipping charges and a 4.5% restocking fee.
WARRANTY.
The Finished TROHET speakers come with a hefty 7-year warranty on workmanship. The warranty excludes damage caused by misuse (i.e. blown voice coils).
Should the speakers be damaged by excessive volume, then we're more than happy to repair them at the cost of the parts and time.

PASSIVE CROSSOVER.
The TROHET's employ a passive circuit to ensure the woofer and tweeter can work together to create a seamless transition.
The crossover design consists of 8 capacitors, 4 inductors and 5 resistors per speaker. Most components are put in parallel with the speaker drivers to preserve the overall sensitivity (loudness).
The woofer circuit employs a 2nd order filter while the tweeter uses a 3rd order filter. This typology has been chosen as it ensures optimum phase tracking at the crossover frequency (2700 Hertz).
HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVERS.
The legendary Scan-Speak 15W/8530 woofer is paired with the venerable Vifa XT25 tweeter. Both drivers produce incredibly low distortion and extended frequency response.
The woofer features a non-resonant cone and a powerful motor and magnet system. This is simply one of the best woofers ever made!
The tweeter employs a dual concentric diaphragm for low distortion and a "nipple" to aid in wide dispersion. The tweeter plays past 30kHz, which helps add "air" and spatial clues to the music.
SUSTAINABILITY
CARING FOR OUR PLANET.
One of the beautiful things about building these speakers is that we control where the material is sourced from.
With increasing deforestation rates and illegal logging, we've pledged to purchase sustainably viable timbers.
For example, American Alder is one of the most sustainable timbers on the planet with plantations growing faster than consumption - even the plantations are indigenous to where they're grown, reducing environmental and ecological impacts.
So. by buying these speakers, you can be assured that together we're making a positive change to how we source timber.
PREMIUM TIMBERS.
We offer four different timbers. Birch plywood provides an industrial/contemporary modern look. Step up and get something fancy like Alder, Oak or Mahogany.
Birch
Mahogany
Alder
Oak
All cabinet material is made from 18mm thick timber. The Birch is 100% plywood, and the Alder, Oak and Mahogany are 8mm solid woods glued down onto 10mm thick marine plywood.
The photos below show the different types of wood used.
