WORKSHOP COURSE
Build Your Own High-End Speakers In One Night
SPEAKER BUILDING WORKSHOP
Build your own pair of high-performance loudspeakers in a single evening.
Hosted by loudspeaker designer Atlas Gouverneur, this hands-on workshop takes place inside the Atlas Harmonic workshop in Sydney, where participants assemble and complete a pair of speakers while learning the fundamentals of loudspeaker design.
By the end of the evening you will leave with a fully built pair of speakers ready to take home and enjoy.
No previous experience is required.
THE EXPERIENCE
This workshop offers a rare opportunity to build a high-performance loudspeaker system alongside the designer who created it.
Each participant receives a precision CNC-machined speaker cabinet that has already been glued and prepared prior to the workshop. This allows the session to focus on the most rewarding parts of the process — understanding the components, assembling the electronics and bringing the speakers to life.
During the evening you will:
• Assemble the crossover network
• Install the internal wiring
• Mount the drivers and terminals
• Learn the fundamentals of loudspeaker design
• Test and listen to your finished speakers
By the end of the night you leave with a fully assembled pair of speakers ready for your home system.

WORKSHOP FORMAT
The workshop runs as a single 5-hour evening session, divided into two build blocks.
Block 1 — Design Introduction & Crossover Build
2 hours 15 minutes
The evening begins with an introduction to loudspeaker design and the fundamentals of how speakers reproduce sound.
Participants are introduced to the drivers, cabinet design and crossover network used in their speaker.
You will then assemble and solder the crossover network — the circuit responsible for directing the correct frequencies to each driver.
Break
A short break to relax, enjoy drinks and talk with the other participants.
Block 2 — Final Assembly & Listening
2 hours 15 minutes
During the second half of the workshop participants complete the speakers.
Drivers are mounted, wiring is installed and the speakers are fully assembled.
Once completed the speakers are connected to a system and tested during a listening session.
At the end of the workshop you leave with a fully built pair of loudspeakers.
